They can soil the crate by inadvertent mistake. At the time of potty, puppy should be directed to go outside through the door. One should install a bell on the handle of the door. This bell should be tied by a string. At the time of passing through the door puppy should be directed to touch the bell which is hanging to the height of the nose. One can use a treat to entice the puppy to touch the bell with the paws. After touching the bell it will ring. Then puppy can be given a treat like a piece of dried meat as a reward.
