Going About Housebreaking Your German Shepherd
It is nice to have a German Shepherd in your house, but it is better to have a trained one. Not all dogs are born trained and one has to follow certain steps to train them up, otherwise it all ends up in a mess. What about taking them out for a stroll after they had their food or at predetermined and fixed times of the day. Just take them out for a stroll in the morning and evening and also after they have taken food. You will see that they will relieve themselves. Their digestion system is like that of humans. The rules are the same. If we take a stroll after eating, we get an urge to go to the toilet and it is the same for the German Shepherds too. They however do not need a toilet and all that is required is to take them out for a stroll. Once the basics of housebreaking your German Shepherd have been completed, you will see that they will start whimpering or make moaning sounds when they want to be led out. They might even paw you or pull at your legs indicating that they want to be taken out for a stroll. Try to understand what they mean. Training a dog becomes easier if you are able to understand what they mean to convey to you. Never ever scold the dog if they have soiled your floor. If they have not been trained, this is one of the most natural actions. Have you never soiled your bed when you were a baby? Teach them properly.
